CAIRO – Nissan Sunny tops the list as the best-selling locally assembled car for 2018 in Egypt. According to a recent report by "Focus 2 Move," a global automotive market research firm, 13,545 Sunnys were sold across Egypt.
As the most popular Nissan car in Egypt, Sunny dominates the sales of family sedans in the country at a starting price of EGP 220,000.
Cumulative total of about 55,000 units have been sold since applying the facelift in 2015 so far. Offering spaciousness, comfort and competitive prices, Sunny is equipped with advanced technologies such as smart key, start button, multi-function steering wheel and safety features such as ABS, EBD and Brake Assist. Nissan Sunny is also powered by four-cylinder engine rated 108 horsepower at 6000 RPM, and 134 0f torque at 4000 RPM. The engine features a range of fuel efficiency enhancing technologies.
Nissan Sunny is known for its value, stability, spaciousness and mid-size vehicle technology and it offers five-passenger practicality with a high degree of comfort and refinement.
Nissan Motor Egypt is proud of its plant in 6th of October city in which Sunny, Sentra and pickup are assembled. It is one of the most important industrial partnerships in Egypt and achieved an industrial growth with the slogan of "Made in Egypt" – as Egyptian workers received extensive training by Japanese experts. Nissan's total sales in Egypt from January 2018 to end of December 2018 reached 26,298 cars.
