Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Nissan Middle East has held its Regional Skills Contest Awards Ceremony. This event recognized the company's top sales and customer service employees from its NSCs (National Sales Companies) from across the Middle East, and was held last week at the Bulgari Resort in Dubai.

Nissan is committed to providing the best customer experience in the region, where it has over 2,500 employees. These awards are held each year to honour the company's customer-facing employees, who consistently go the extra mile in providing best-in-class service.

Juergen Schmitz, Managing Director of Nissan Middle East, said; "Nissan's aim is to provide customers with best possible service before, during and after purchase. Consumer satisfaction is a key pillar of our business model and we are consistently striving to be leaders in our field. Our success as a company is inextricably linked to the skill-set of our customer-facing staff, and this is why we place a great importance in recognizing the ongoing efforts of these high performing employees."

Nissan's Regional Skills Contest rewards employees that have shown exemplary performance over the course of the year. The Regional Skills Contest comprises four competitions - for technicians, service advisors, sales and parts executives - with the objective of demonstrating their capabilities and advancing their skills. The awards span every aspect of the business - from knowledge of Nissan genuine parts and technical expertise, to service advice and sales acumen.

The oldest and most coveted category is Nissan Service Technical Excellence Competency Award (NISTEC), now in its 22nd year. This year, the accolade was awarded to Shereef Majeed from Suhail Bahwan, Nissan's NSC in Oman.

The first place under the Nissan Service Advisor Excellency Competency Award (NISAC) category was won by Ganesh Nair from Arabian Automobiles Company, Dubai.

The winner of the Nissan Sales Executive Excellence Competency Award (NISEC) category was won by Naga Anvesh from Suhail Bahwan, Oman.

The first place for the Nissan Parts Executive Excellence Competency Award (NIPEC) was won by Yezdi Kheshwalla from Arabian Automobiles Company, Dubai.

"The in-depth knowledge and expertise demonstrated by all contest participants over the past few days makes me extremely proud, and I would like to extend my congratulations to everyone who took part in the competition" added Mr. Schmitz. "Nissan's aim is to be the leading automotive brand in customer service, but we cannot do this without our people and their skills. It is therefore our commitment to continue to invest in our people, as it's only by having the best talent in the industry that we can offer the best customer experience across all business functions."

The 2017 and 2018 NISTEC and NISAC winners will represent Nissan Middle East in the Global Skills Contest that will take place next October 2018 in the Nissan Global HQ in Yokohama.
