Dubai, UAE – The 'ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour Driven by Nissan' has embarked on its epic journey around the globe from the International Cricket Council headquarters in Dubai. As the Official Car Partner of the ICC Cricket World Cup and the Trophy Tour, Nissan helped to kick off the trophy's nine-month journey, with a fleet of Patrols demonstrating their rugged capabilities on the sand dunes of the UAE.

The Trophy Tour will build excitement ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup that will be hosted in England and Wales next summer. The tour will cover five continents, 21 countries and over 60 cities, allowing fans around the world to get up close to the coveted prize, which will be lifted at Lord's Cricket Ground at the Final on 14th July 2019.

Nissan will provide the latest range of cars with Intelligent Mobility features to support the Trophy on its global journey. The line-up of vehicles involved in the tour include the iconic Nissan Patrol, the 100% electric Nissan LEAF and Nissan Kicks, the intelligent SUV.

After leaving Dubai, the ICC World Cup Trophy travelled to Oman. From there it will move on the USA, the West Indies, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, India, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. It will also return to the UAE from 24th to 27th January 2019, giving fans living in the region the opportunity to participate in the World Cup excitement. Finally, the trophy will land in the UK on 19th February ahead of a 100-day domestic Trophy Tour.
